Honky Tonk Train Blues
A tribute to Keith Emerson who created a unique progressive rock genre as a kind of primordial fusion of styles, from classical to jazz while maintaining the rock imprint, but above all, because he influenced me to get started with the piano at the tender age of 12, playing ragtime and honky tonk.
As I am self-taught, my performance could only be an interpretation of the song composed by Meade Lux Lewis in 1927, made famous by Keith Emerson specifically for his ability to create arrangements, for his techniques and above all for his charisma.
A tribute is also a way to continue to remember him even after he's left us.
Hello Keith, and thank you for making me dream with your music. Rest In Peace.
